How Do I Know if my Trees Need to be Trimmed? DEAD TREES If you have trees that do not have any visible foliage during warm months they likely have died. Dead trees are more likely to fall and hit people or property. DISEASED TREES If you have trees or shrubs with visible malformations to a disease they may spread to other living trees nearby. OVERGROWTH A tree with drooping and/or crossing branches can not only negatively impact tree growth, but are also more likely to drop branches during severe weather.

How Do I Tell if my Trees are Sick or Diseased? While some signs of stress can be normal and easy for a tree to heal from, severe sympotms you should look for include: Peeling/cracking bark, sap that is constantly oozing, and significant wilting. These trees need removed ASAP before they are able to infect other nearby growth.

Is Pruning Good for Trees? Not only does pruning help keep trees safe for the people and property surrounding them, but pruning done correctly is healthy for the tree as well. It can prevent diseased limbs from infecting the rest of the tree and stop damaged limbs from falling, especially during severe weather events. Pruning can be dangerous however and should be left to professionals .

What is the Best Time of Year for Tree Care Services?
